Why London dates can differ

London boroughs publish term dates for the schools for which they are responsible. Those calendars can be similar, but there is no single London-wide timetable that every school must follow.

Academies, free schools and some other schools can set their own term dates and inset days. That means a borough calendar is useful for the local pattern, but it is not a guarantee for every school in that borough.

If your children attend different schools, if you live near a borough boundary or if a booking depends on an exact day, compare the relevant calendars rather than assuming they match.

DAYREACH shows the published dates for the London boroughs we currently cover and links back to the source used for each area.
