About DAYREACH
DAYREACH is a simple countdown site built around one idea: when you are waiting for a date, the answer should come first.
What you can find here
We count down to UK bank holidays, school breaks, seasonal dates, sporting events and other days people plan around. Each countdown shows the date clearly, then gives you the useful context behind it without making you dig through a calendar first.
Why school holidays are different
England does not have one national school calendar. Dates can vary by local authority, academy trust and individual school, so DAYREACH publishes school holiday information area by area and links back to the relevant source. If we do not cover your area yet, you can request it from the Contact page.
Where the dates come from
We use official or primary sources wherever they are available — including GOV.UK, local councils and event organisers — and show the source and the date we last checked it on each relevant page. Fixed annual dates and calculated dates are labelled as such rather than being presented as something they are not.
Independent and still growing
DAYREACH is an independent site and is being expanded gradually. We would rather cover a smaller number of dates clearly and accurately than fill the site with pages that are not useful. If you spot a wrong date, have a question or want us to add your area, please get in touch.
